BVQI Certifies OptiWorks’ Shanghai Facility to the TL 9000 Quality Standard

OptiWorks Inc., a leading supplier of fiber optic components and integrated modules, is proud to announce that its Shanghai factory has passed the rigorous TL 9000 registration audit. After 2 1/2 days of scrutiny by auditors from Taiwan and Shanghai, the formal certificate will be issued by the auditing firm, BVQi, in conjunction with QuEST (Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications) Leadership Forum, the creators of the TL 9000 quality system.

The TL 9000 Quality System was created by QuEST Leadership Forum to assure that suppliers within the telecom industry apply a consistent set of quality system requirements and metrics that will help provide telecommunications users with faster, better and more cost-effective services. TL 9000 includes all the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 plus additional requirements to address specific needs of the telecom industry.

As a result of this successful audit, OptiWorks' team in Shanghai will be able to continue their ongoing efforts to improve their business and manufacturing processes with the help of this advanced quality system tool.
